The portrait of God in the name Jehovah Raah is relationship.  Also spelled Rohi and Ro’eh, as our Shepherd, God keeps continuous watch and knows each of us by name – He cares intensely for His people.  God desires intimacy between Himself and His people and Jehovah Raah can also be translated as “The Lord my Friend.”

The promises associated with the name Jehovah Raah include:
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.”
                                                              Romans 5:8-10
I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
                                                              Romans 8:38-39
This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.”
                                                             1 John 5:14-15
