made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—
it is by grace you have been saved.
And God raised us up with Christ
and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,
in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace,
expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.”

Ephesians 2:4-7
In Christ, followers are raised. God sees us as if it were already so because of
our union with Christ. In Him, we experience a spiritual resurrection – a
resurrection from death in sin to a spiritual life of freedom having ascended
with Him above this world.
God intends for followers to set their hearts on things above, not on earthly
things. We are to begin to die to sin and live to God. The world is nothing in
comparison to the blessing of heavenly places and the hope that God’s work
will fully be brought to an end.
