“The one who gets wisdom loves life;
the one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper.”
Proverbs 19:8
the one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper.”
Proverbs 19:8
In Proverbs 19, Solomon considers the contrast between fools and the wise
with examples from family life. He reminds believers that if you want to be
wise, you must be willing to be taught, advised and reproved. He also
reminds us that we can make lots of plans on our own, but it’s the Lord’s
purpose that prevails!
In Proverbs 19:8, Solomon shares that the pursuit of wisdom isn’t just
something to get, but something to keep. In retaining wisdom, believers
retain lessons learned and experience comfort and benefit to our souls.
We get a new spirit, a soft, tender and contrite heart to know the Lord plus
true peace and happiness.
