“By wisdom a house is built,
and through understanding it is established;
through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.”
Proverbs 24:3-4
and through understanding it is established;
through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.”
Proverbs 24:3-4
In Proverbs 24, Solomon concludes the 30 sayings of the wise and encourages
application of the lessons learned. Wisdom, love and respect are the common
themes. The wisdom of God is seen as sweet and comfortable to the soul and
more desirable than all the things of the world. Gaining wisdom rewards life
by giving hope and experiencing the power of truth and godliness.
In Proverbs 24:3-4, Solomon demonstrates that like a house, wisdom is built,
established and properly furnished. Righteous and godly living are required to
build. Wisdom is established by understanding and prudent management to
set it on a firm foundation and knowledge properly furnishes it’s rooms not
only with necessities but with conveniences, comforts and security. The spirit
is strengthened both for spiritual work and spiritual warfare by true wisdom.
