IDENTITY: HELPED

Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens,
Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
For we have not a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses,
but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.
Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace,
that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
Hebrews 4:14-16
In Christ, followers are helped.  God sees our need and knows our weaknesses, even when we do not.  Jesus sympathizes with us and understands every temptation, so that He can be merciful and compassionate with His people.

God intends for followers to live with the confidence to draw near to Him, so
that we can receive His mercy and find grace.  We have the boldness to enter by
the blood of Jesus.  He wants His followers to hold fast to our faith and hope in
our heads, hearts and lives and never deny Him.
