Prayer includes Praise and Thanksgiving which is Scripture fed keeping our
focus on God’s identity and actions. When we pray “hallowed be thy name”
we are praying that we recognize how holy and perfect and different from us
God’s character is and that we treat His name as holy. God makes His name
known to us through His works and deeds and in praise and thanksgiving,
we revere, exalt and declare His holy name above all.

May we know Him better and better as we explore the Scriptures to appreciate
the Lord’s Divine qualities, the extent of His favor and the scope of His
promises so that we can bow down before Him in prayer offering Him the
honor due His holy name.
