“When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.
The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.”
Proverbs 11:2-3

Proverbs 11:2-3
In Proverbs 11, Solomon shows the contrast between the righteous and the evil.
In revealing humility, righteousness, and generosity as advantages, he reveals
in opposition the miseries of the proud, wicked and foolish. Wisdom is gleaned
from the brevity of each saying and each is separate and complete in itself.
Proverbs 11:2-3 focuses on humility and integrity. Humility is an attitude
esteemed by God and an important foundation for wisdom. Humble believers
know that it is by the grace of God that they are what they are. They look for
nothing and expect nothing because they have already received grace and
God’s gifts.
Integrity and uprightness leads believers into all truth. Integrity is the guide to living a trustworthy life without shame or secrets. Integrity of the heart and innocence of the hand go together and preserve believers. In addition, those who are influenced by wisdom will not only bear fruit themselves, but also give life to others.
